about
"Morourae" is a track originally recorded in March-April 2013 during a previous incarnation of Glass Shrine, originally planned to be the first song of a four-song demo. Once the project adopted its current name, three of those original songs were re-recorded to create Impurities, but due to an overall dissatisfaction with this song, it was left behind. Having revisited it recently, I believe it possesses a certain undeniable conviction and passion and tells an important part of the story of Glass Shrine. I have remastered it to provide the version available here.
The song title, as were the song titles of all the original versions of the Impurities tracks, is meaningless gibberish à la early Njiqahdda.

Death/doom with absolutely massive production, venomous vocals and interesting war lyrics that might actually teach you a bit about history (no songs about Stalingrad or Waterloo here!). Glass Shrine
An influence on my own works. Upbeat, lightning-fast, pummeling psychedelic death metal à la Mithras with cheery major-scale melodies and an emotional, frank presentation. A modern masterpiece. Glass Shrine
Another project I was involved in - avant-garde metal (compiled in exquisite corpse fashion with no coordination between composers) with 14 musicians, dozens of genres and excellent riffs. Glass Shrine
The person behind this project is a good friend of mine! A unique blend of traditional Turkish melodies amidst a dissonant and chaotic backdrop. FFO Imperial Triumphant, Portal and Ulcerate. porcelainheart-
